DON'T MISS THIS FANTASTIC DANCE OPPORTUNITY
Jenell Maranto will be in Tupelo the weekend of our Dancing Like The Stars event which is Saturday night, August 28th.She will be judging Dancing Like The Stars and then will be available on Sunday and on Monday morning for coaching. In addition, she will be conducting three Waltz Workshops on Sunday afternoon. E-mail Rubye Del Harden to reserve a place in these workshops.
Workshop Schedule:
2 p.m.--Bronze Waltz (Beginning to Full Bronze) Jenell will deepen our understanding of the correct ways to execute the basic bronze waltz patterns.
3 p.m.--Foundational Principles and Techniques of Waltz (All Levels) In this workshop, Jenell will address the question, "How do I make my waltz more beautiful regardless of what level I dance?" She will concentrate on the basic techniques which make smooth dances smooth.
4 p.m. Silver Waltz--This workshop is for anyone who is at the beginning to advanced Silver level. We will learn and/or review the basic elements of silver waltz and learn how to execute them correctly.
Price for all three workshops - $30 a person
Price for any two workshops - $24 a person
Price for any one workshop - $15 a person
Also, Jenell has coaching slots available beginning Sunday morning and continuing through Monday at noon. The price is $115 for 45 minutes. E-mail Rubye Del Harden to reserve a coaching slot. These slots will be booked on a first come, first served basis.
Dancing Like The Stars
Dancing Like The Stars is our charity event to raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Mississippi. Professionals from The Dance Studio are paired with local celebrities for an exciting show. Before and after the show there is plenty of time for general dancing along with a great dinner. Tickets are $50 a person. Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner and dancing. The Dance Studio in Tupelo, MS, has several opportunities to better your ballroom. Beginner and intermediate group classes are offered. You can also enjoy yourself Friday nights at their weekly dance parties.
If Tupelo is too far of a drive, there are also opportunities for lessons in Oxford! On most Saturdays, private lessons are available at Orion Fitness on University Avenue.
